Secretly hidden, in a small pastry shop, in downtown Abu Dhabi, lives Maria Paz. This is my new favorite cake… …and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a fan of sweets! The cake looks simple and clean. But once you have a taste… you’re in for a big surprise! Creamy exterior and very soft breading covered in a shredded cheese. The filling between layers had me fooled. One taste of the cake had me stop guessing and enjoy the blissful, tasty moment. There are no tables or chairs. The pastry shop has a small entry space. Take your order with the bakers. It’s a humble and warm shop. They are busy. Catch their attention and take your order quickly. Panic ordering from new comers happens often but collect your thoughts and run with it. You can’t beat their price, especially for the huge cheese cakes! While browsing on my Facebook, I caught up with these reels about Maria Paz Pastry, and I got curious... Without second thought, I rush to get a taxi just to reach here on time because I'm still coming from Signal 25 in Muroor Road... The location is just a bit far from the main road, and if you have your own car, it's quite hard to find parking since the area is not having a huge space .. No doubt the cheesecake is really good... so creamy and not too sweet.. actually, I finished the one packet in less than 5 minutes... It's highly recommended and the price is really cheap... I will come back for sure to bring for my siblings in Dubai for them to taste as well.. Revisiting the shop today as my cousin requested their famous cheese cake.. Unfortunately technical problem arises.. Card machine is not working and they just accepting cash payment at the moment.. Staff on duty like JOY, MJ, & KRIS patiently explained to their customers that they can't able to accommodate card payment at the moment... To satisfy their customers they offer to take their products from certain supermarket around the areas... I hope that these technical issues will fix as soon as possible..
